Dear Members and Friends,

As Rosh Chodesh Adar I has already passed, it is time to begin thinking about Purim. This year, in place of our usual Mishloach Manot project, we feel it is appropriate as a sign of unity with Israel to fulfill the essence of the mitzvot of Purim in a more meaningful way. What better way to participate in the spirit of Simchas Purim than by spreading happiness and support to families in Israel who have been displaced due to the war.

We have decided to participate in a project coordinated by American Friends of Yisrael Hatzair (with National Council of Young Israel) to spread happiness and joy to displaced families. Each Mishloach Manot package will be given to a family who had to leave their home and is living in temporary quarters. Let us try and fulfill “the Jews had light, happiness, joy and honor ליהודים היתה אורה ושמחה וששון ויקר" by bringing light to our brothers and sisters in need.

Please accept our apologies, as there has been a price error in Friday's Zmanim email regarding the Mishloach Manot price. The price for each Mishloach Manot is $54.00
Each family that wants to participate should order through the shul and we will make one large donation to Young Israel for the number of packages ordered. On Purim we will distribute a card to all those families who participated.

You can participate by registering at https://www.mympjc.org/mishloach-manot.html and choosing to pay by credit card online or choosing to pay by QuickPay/Zelle or check. Chase QuickPay or Zelle payments can be sent
to office@mympjc.org. Checks should be made payable to MYMPJC and sent directly to the shul's office at 3311 Avenue S, Brooklyn, NY 11234.

If you can’t access the website, you can register by sending an email to Bella Plushnick at BELLAOFFICE@MYMPJC.ORGor by texting her at 347-988-1558.
For any questions, please contact Rachel Abrahams at 646-784-0920 or Ruchie Weinstock at 646-996-4950.

THE DEADLINE TO PARTICIPATE AND SEND A MISHLOACH MANOT PACKAGE TO ISRAEL THROUGH THE SHUL IS MARCH 7, 2024. In order to ensure the success of this project your timely response is requested.

We will need the exact number of packages to order, so please respond to this email/letter ASAP.

Chag Purim Sameach and thank you for your support of Israel and our shul.
